St. Anthony of Padua

St. Anthony was a Franciscan monk known for his care for the poor, his love of Scripture, and his beautiful preaching. Born to a wealthy family, Anthony could easily have lived a comfortable life but he believed he could best serve God living as a poor monk among the poor in the newly formed Franciscan order. One day his precious possession, a handwritten book, was stolen. St. Anthony prayed for its return, and the thief had a change of heart and brought it back. Today we often ask St. Anthony to pray for us when something of ours is missing!

St. Bernadette Soubirous

St. Bernadette was a poor French girl of fourteen,

When she was visited by heaven’s own Queen.

Mary asked her to pray and a new church to build,

And though Bernadette had little, Mary’s wish was fulfilled.

St. Carlo Acutis

St. Carlo Acutis enjoyed playing video games.

He loved Jesus and Mary and taught others their names.

He created new ways to share God’s love online.

He may have been young, but his faith sure did shine!

Saints Jacinta and Francisco Marto

Sts. Francisco and Jacinta saw the Blessed Mother shining bright.

They were children of Fatima, bathed in a holy light.

They heard Mary’s words and saw they were true.

They shared God’s love and mercy with all they knew.
